Well this was one wedding that was running behind before the day even began (these two have been together for over 9 years!) With hair and makeup delays, losing track of time during our photo session, and a whole bunch of very touching and entertaining speeches (and some impromptu ones!), we never did get back on schedule. But none of the delays mattered, because this day was all about the love that Ashlee and Kaelan share with each other, and the close bonds they have with their family and friends.
I started out with the girls at the Mariott in Whitby, then met up with the guys at Kaelan’s mother’s home, then back to the girls at the hotel, and then followed the girls to Ashlee’s parents’ house for photos with their prized possession! Sounds a little chaotic, right? But it was so worth it! Their ceremony was held at Kingsview United Church in Oshawa, with all of Ashlee’s grade six students in attendance. The official photo session (and the reception that evening) took place at Cullen Central Park (formerly Cullen Gardens) in Whitby. I’m so excited to be shooting there a couple more times this year, as it’s a great location that many local families, including my own, frequented when we younger!
I had a hard time narrowing down my favourites, as there were so many that I know will have special meaning to this couple and their families, but I can’t post everything in one (okay, so this is the second, but who’s counting) blog post!
Don’t forget leave some love in the comments section! xoxo Tara
