Megan and Casey must be tight with the weather gods, as they had the most perfect day one could wish for. We dubbed Megan “Snow White” (isn’t she stunning?) And Casey, well, they say women are drawn to men that are funny, and Casey and his groomsmen were certainly entertaining! Trayc got some hilarious photos of the boys, as the girls and I made a brief stop at Cullen Central Park before the late afternoon ceremony at Deer Creek n Ajax. There were so many great moments during this day, I had trouble narrowing it down for the blog, but I know this couple is very (VERY!) eagerly awaiting some imagery, as they have just returned from their honeymoon, so I hope they enjoy this look back at their big day!

Prior to this gorgeous Whitby backyard wedding (I’ve done a few of these over the last couple years – love them!) we had the “first look” at Heber Down. With having a later start to their ceremony, it made sense for Kellie and Mike to do their main photos together, with family, and with the bridal party, before they actual tied the knot. Kellie snuck up behind Mike and they got to have a little moment together before we really got going.
Their ceremony and cocktail reception took place under the tent in their backyard. Speeched immediately followed the ceremony, and then everyone got to mingle and dance while enjoying delicious treats and hor d’oeuvres.
Kelly’s sister did a fabulous job as the florist for the event, Mike’s daughters were both part of the ceremony (one standing with him, and the other as the flower girl/ring bearer) and the whole day was super relaxed, easy-going, and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. The gorgeous sunset at the end of the night didn’t hurt either!
A little throwback to this lovely backyard wedding from 2012 that somehow evaded the blog until now. Kirk and Jess are friends of ours, and they were married in her parents’ yard on day that started out pretty wet. They were prepared for anything though. Umbrellas helped us with bridal party photos, and tents covered the guests for the ceremony, and a bigger tent held the reception and dinner. Kirk and Jess did a “first look”, seeing each other and completing most of the formal photos before the ceremony. They talked about this experience in the article in Beautiful Beginnings Summer/Fall 2013 edition.
