We watched the rain fall with anticipation as Stephanie’s mom and bridesmaids helped her into her gorgeous gown. Sure, they say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day, but who wouldn’t take a gorgeous sunny day over a rainy one? I always say it can rain all it wants while we’re indoors, as long as Mother Nature gets it out of her system in time for the outdoor photos!
And magically, it all worked out, as it often seems to. After the church ceremony we went to a little park around the corner that I had not been to before. I totally fell in love with the gorgeous light on this one pathway – it was perfect! The leaves were just starting to change at this point, and the late afternoon sunlight started poking through the clouds. Oh, how I’d love to be back in that time right now! We had a such a beautiful fall season this year.
It’s clear that these two have an amazing group of tight-knit friends and family surrounding them. I think Stephanie had more bridal showers than any bride in history! Her brothers set the standard pretty high in the awesome sibling category, stopping in to the house before the ceremony to make sure everything was good and to grab a quick photo with the bride, running back to the limo to grab flats for the bride’s poor feet when she couldn’t walk anymore, and then surprising her with a Photo Booth during the reception! There were plenty of heartfelt speeches, lots of friends and relatives that travelled from far distances to be there, and the dance floor was PUMPIN’ when we left, and I’m guessing the party continued all night long.
Thanks for letting me and Monica join in the fun, we had a wonderful time documenting your beautiful day.
The rain let up, but then it got a little windy…
