I have been photographing families for well over a decade now, and I’ve had the honour of photographing both these little ones as wee babes, and a couple family sessions as well. This latest session was to celebrate Miss V’s first birthday. I gotta say though, it was hard not to let big brother W steal the show.

For this Whitby Family Photography Session

I knew I wanted to use those gorgeous birch trees as a backdrop, and I brought along the birch prop my Dad built, since V wasn’t quite walking yet, to give us some extra options, while keeping consistent with the look of the location. I also knew that attention spans would be short, and wanted to focus on creating some fun images, and lots of connection.
