I’ve had my home studio for over 10 years now, so I assume I’ve been photographing Christmas minis just as long. I love seeing families return year after year, watching the kids grow up, new siblings joining, and the adrenaline rush of trying to wrangle up numerous little ones to look in the same direction or even just all be happy at once, so we can get THAT shot – the one that will go on the front of the Christmas card!
I’m so grateful to everyone that has put their faith in me and trusted me with your Christmas photos over the years.
It seems like every year, local photographers start announcing Christmas sessions earlier and earlier. Last year it was August, this year it was July. I’m just going to be honest – I don’t want to be thinking about snow and tinsel in the middle of summer! The same ideas get re-used and recycled, with slight changes here and there, and there are many last minute trips to HomeSense, hahaha! And yes, they are still cute and can be fun, buuuuut….
This year I want to do things a little differently.
I also want a more enjoyable experience for YOU, my clients. One where we aren’t rushed, where your family can relax and have fun, and where we catch those natural moments of love and joy, the kind this season is supposed to be all about!
So this year, let’s document YOUR family traditions. Let’s incorporate fun family activities into your Christmas session. I want to hear your ideas, and photograph your family as the unique group of people you are.
So, are you ready? Let’s do this!
Here are some ideas to get you thinking:
-take me with you when you go on a hunt to find the perfect Christmas tree
-invite me into your home while you decorate your tree and drink hot chocolate
-find the biggest hill you can and we’ll go tobogganing
-bedtime routine with your kids as you read them stories in their Christmas PJs
-Christmas crafts at your dining room table
-any other traditions your family has leading up to the holidays, calm ones, wacky ones, let’s see it!
Pricing
I’m going to open up my demi-session pricing to families for the months of November and December for these holiday sessions. That means a reduced session fee and the ability to purchase 10 images instead of the full set (but the full set is still an option too!) and I’m going to throw in a free set of Christmas cards for you, because ’tis the season, afterall <3
Email me for full details :)
I know this won’t be for everyone, and that’s okay. There are plenty of mini sessions being offered if that’s what you would like. But for those of you that want to do something a little different, let’s plan a fun morning, afternoon, or evening together!
I can’t wait!!
