Babies don't stay little forever, and it can all go by so fast. As a maternity, newborn, and family photographer based in Oshawa and growing up in the Durham Region, just east of Toronto, I adore documenting family snuggles and scrunchie-nose smiles. I know you'd love to freeze time, and photographs are the next best thing.

I'm also familiar with the struggles many couples face, having been through losses, IVF, and an ectopic pregnancy myself. I'm so grateful for my son, and I know you feel the same about your babies, regardless of your journey.

With over 15 years of experience photographing people, my goal is simple - create an experience and images you'll love and proudly display in your home.

To say I am not comfortable in front of a camera is an understatement. I usually delete about 99.9% of all pictures taken of me. Not only did Tara make my family and I feel comfortable during our session, but I loved pretty much every picture she took, and displayed them in our house! She captured our family perfectly down to my daughter's crazy personality. The pictures were just stunning and I can't thank her enough. I will absolutely be asking her to take pictures for us again.

2 - Stef and John

We did our Maternity and Newborn photoshoots with Tara and I'm so glad we did! The photos are INCREDIBLE! We couldn't narrow down our favourites so we ended up purchasing all of them. She made us feel super comfortable which is reflected in the photos. She was so good with my newborn son, I actually learned soothing techniques from her! We also purchased an album and custom frame and are so happy with the quality, I cried when I saw it.

My Philosophy

These moments are the beginning of your family legacy

I believe in the power of a photograph.

An image can make you laugh, make you cry, keep memories alive, and bring people together.

I love that my parents still have images up on their walls of us as babies. I’ve spent hours looking through photo albums, noticing how my pre-teen niece still gives me that furrowed brow she gave me in her newborn images.

Seeing my first little ringlets in my own baby photos, and those same ringlets as they started forming at the back of my son’s head after a bath or a sweaty nap.

Remembering how blonde my sister’s hair was, and how much we adored our baby brother.

Imagining my parents' and grandparents' lives and weddings through faded colour and black and white photo albums.

The film negatives are long gone, but the prints remain.

Today, digital media is changing constantly. Think about where we will be 10, 25, 50 years from now.
