Christmas Tree Farm Family Session

I have photographed this lovely family a few times before, so I was super excited when they contacted me to schedule a Christmas tree farm family session. I followed them along on their adventure at Blackstock Tree Farm, searching for the perfect tree, and some hilarious moments that arose when their son hopped on the top of the tree as dad was dragging it back through the farm.

It feels so wonderful to document natural interactions and events and know that this family will be able to look back on this tradition years from now, when their son is grown up and starting traditions with his own family. As a child I remember certain traditions so fondly, and being able to recreate them with my own son, and seeing everything through his eyes, is definitely one of the highlights of being a parent.

If you’d like me to come along on your family’s tree-cutting adventure, take a peek at the info on my Family Sessions page and send me a message through the contact form!

Or you can see if I’m currently open to book tree farm mini sessions for the holidays.

I always seem to over-shoot with these guys, and this day was no exception, so here are a bunch of my faves from the day!
